Toga, Toga
Some random lists I've been making, or lists I've been thinking about making.
Places that I Curse:
1. The rock wall
2. Knit club
Bathrooms on campus that I've cried in:
1. Two, no three in Farinon
2. Two floors of Pardee
3. Easton Hall 3rd Floor
4. McKelvy (3 bathrooms, one hallway)
5. Oeschle 1st Floor
6. Rubin, 2nd Floor
I am a pathetic person.
Bathrooms on campus I've brushed my teeth in... << >> <<
Also. In English today we were discussing a character in a play you've probably never heard of because it was written eight million years ago, or you know in the late 1770's. But I digress, the character in question was Mrs. Malaprop. And surprisingly enough her speech was replete with malapropisms. But, this probably isn't funny, my teacher was then going on to talk about how such a character would need to be played. And either he was making a joke and no one else noticed, or he was so caught up in malapropisms he made a mistake and no one else noticed, but he explain that such a character would need to played from the "diagram". As opposed to diaphram! OH THE MALAPROPISMS!
Also. I think I am going to a toga party. I haven't yet totally settled on it. But what else is college for???

Valentine's Poetry Collection 2007
Meant to post these on V-Day:
(Jack) S.
I am a bit in awe of you, I confess,
Thesis, law school, and all with such success,
I hope you know you deserve all you posses,
But I digress,
To you a Happy Valentine’s Day I express.
Ru,
What would life be like without you?
Dark and dreary, sad and blue,
You’re a valuable friend and a strong person too,
No matter the struggles you see things through,
And a Happy Valentine’s Day I wish to you.
(B____) T. Oh Mercy me!
You my darling are so bonny and wee,
And yet—
Those childbearing hips I see!
If only I were Irish, you would marry me.
(Mdubz) W- with this poem I shall woo,
A woman with brains and follow through,
Beautiful and talented through and through,
I wish all happiness to you—
You deserve it. Yes, you do.
(M.) C.
You are a busy little worker bee,
Beauty, brains, and brawn you have all three,
I hope you see how much you mean to me,
A love without bounds, to the highest degree.
(K8) Chen—
You have a fondness for men,
And doodling with a pink pen,
And possibly for marsh wren?
So this poem is just to let you know again,
Happy Valentine’s Day, you are a “10”.
Kaydo—
You are awesome because you get both Plato and Play-Dough,
You are crafty, and friendly, and smart—you glow,
Not in the literal sense-that would bring me woe,
For the toxic radiation would most assuredly lay you low.
(C.) M.
From you all hand-crafted wood things stem,
Even if you can't fix the plumbing you're still a jem,
Whatever your next hobby I won't condemn,
And if you're wondering if I'm wishing you a
Happy Valentines Day—
I am.
(____)ie—
Although when we first met, of you I was wary,
But now I know I should feel just the contrary,
You are a talented engineer, and knit scarves even of yarns that are hairy,
Happy Valentine’s Day- you’re worth more than the canary.
Of course Carlos got one too. But I'm keeping that one to myself. I might share the mustache one if you're very nice. Although perhaps not. It was difficult enough perserving the rhyme and not reavealing names posting these.

Choo Choo Choose Me
Valentine's Day, second only to President's Day in my book. Look I really like Presidents okay? No, just kidding. Valentine's Day is really awesome though, and I have always felt it was so. Because it is a prime getting people to like you day. People don't have relationships, and so they're sad, but I give them chocolate and they become happy. Thus they like me more. And I get to bake and make little baggies full of chocolate and do arts and crafty valentines!
And I do have this boyfriend....which totally doesn't hurt in terms of enjoying Valentine's Day. We went to a dinner together, it was yummy and free, and then we watched American Pie and The Little Mermaid. An ecclectic mix I know, it was my turn to pic okay? And I got flowers, they are beee-u-teee-fullllll. Just like you. And also I was gifted with a bear. He is a dapper fellow. And I made lots of cake and cookies, and I actually, and this is kinda weird, I origamied love poetry on paper into flowers for him. "What am I supposed to do with these?" "Keep them and feel awkward about it!" And I have another surprise up my sleeve. Well two actually, but one is just silly. And I also recieved Peeps. :-D I <3 Peeps.
And guess I can be done making everyone feel bad now. Except that I'll try to post pictures of the flowers later....

The Febs.
I just set a new record for the snooze button. And then I lay in bed and listened to the radio station that turns on when my alarm goes off. And I would really like to crawl back in.
I have two poems on my computer titled February. Both about feeling awful and sad of course. SAD that is I suppose.
One of them is pretty much this post in prose form.

To Homework or Not To Homework
Sunday evenings are so depressing when you have three classes on Monday. And you aren't really done your homework. But you probably aren't going to do it. And you kinda wish you'd slept more and gotten more done.
It was a good weekend though. Friday I got some stuff done, and went to a low key party. Saturday I... hum. Went to a career thing for about 10 minutes, did homework, went out to dinner with Carlos and my parents. Which went much better than I expected it to. Then I went to a very odd British Navy Party, and Carlos and I won Broadside, or something like that, a game invented for the party. Creativity taken to an extreme. But a fun extreme.
Today Carlos and I made pancakes, he made one shaped like Mickey Mouse. :-D Then I did work. Then I decided not to do any more work and made cookies. And now I'm thinking I should go back to work. But seriously, 9PM on a Sunday? Puh.

I Miss the Mustache.
I can't help it. It was growing on me. We were getting to be friends. THERE WAS A BLOSSOMING RELATIONSHIP!
That's all gone now.

Manic Monday, Wish it Was Saturday
Fine don't comment on my poetry. Then I won't let you see the one about Carlos's mustache.
I hate Mondays. Grr. Why can't Sunday, no Saturday linger on forever? Saturday is wonderful because you're well into the weekend, but Sunday is still before you and you can swear to yourself that Sunday you'll really buckle down and get things done. Or you can get drunk and watch the Super Bowl.
My weekend was pretty awesome actually. Friday was the Phi Psi Bid Dinner, and a WJRH event, and a bunch of other things. It was busy, and I was practically drunk from tiredness by the time I went to bed. I had hit insane giggling. Saturday day sucked because I felt horrible for a combination of reasons, but then Saturday later was good, couple-y time and a party. Sunday was church and then later the Super Bowl-- I had to work the WA drop in center for an hour in the middle, waste of time because obviously no one came, but I didn't really mind missing the game. Getting up this morning was pretty awful though.

Awful Poetry
Started writing some V-Day poems for the chosen few with easily rhyming names. Here's a little taste of one I wrote for one of my roommates, yes it is horrendously bad. But they all are, in Mdubz's I rhymed through with through.
Kaydo--
You are awesome because you get both Plato and Play-Dough,
You are crafty, and friendly, and smart-- you glow,
Not in the literal sense-that would bring me woe,
For the toxic radiation would most assuridly lay you low.
It was a much more enjoyable afternoon than it would have been if I'd done my work. I still have like three or four more to write. But there's plenty of time.
Here's one more:
CM-
From you all hand-crafted wood things stem,
Even if you can't fix the plumbing you're still a jem,
Whatever your next hobby I won't condemn,
And if you're wondering if I'm wishing you a
Happy Valentines Day--
I am.

It's your face Carlos do whatever you want.
The army national guard sent me an e-mail. Should I take them up on it?
M., I'm sorry I didn't return the phone call. Mdubz, I swear I'll write you the e-mail I owe, ditto B___.
I didn't make my bed yet. Seriously considering crawling back in and calling it a day.
A voting issue:
So I'm thinking about studying abroad next semester and the contenders are, Scotland, Germany, and DC. I think I'm going to apply to two, because Scotland is free (to apply). And I've also already pretty much made up my mind, I'm just letting you vote because I like to get other people's opinons and then disreguard them.
I keep typing more and then deleting it. So I think I'll just call it quits here.
