The View From Saturday Early Evening
Realized that it's been too long since I posted. Not too much happening. Starting to worry about all the end of the semester work that's coming. But first- Easter. Yay.
Yesterday was nice. Finished for the week at 10:50, love that about my schedule. Got free lunch with accepted students, though none of them wanted to be American Studies majors-sad. Ended up actually getting some work done--shocking. Then had fun and a yummy veggie burger at Phi Psi BBQ. Mmmmm. Ended up going to a date aution as a plant in the audience to buy/save from humilation one of Carlos's brothers. It was... interesting. I think I was the only non-Greek there as it was a DG fundraiser, and only Greeks were being auctioned. Kind of weird. Then spent the rest of the evening just chilling. Also baked the fourth(?) batch of cookies for the week.
Today has been the definition of low key. Getting reading done, painting my toe nails, talking to M. about fluffy bunnies, etc. Carlos is sadly home until tomorrow evening. But on the bright side there's a party tonight in my suite, so I won't have to sit around and mope.
Fun fact: One year ago today I met Carlos. M., did you see that fuzzy bunny that just ran by?
Also. I had a positive feeling about turning 20 today for the first time. 19 is so nice, it's like I'm perched on the edge of something really....big, but I don't quite have to dive in yet. 20 is scary. But this morning I was counting my blessings in the shower (look, I have a lot of relaxation techniches for that action...) and I was like "I'm about to be 20." So um. Yeah. I guess I can deal with it after all.

SPAM
So about how spam has completely inflitrated my comments, and K8 has not responded to my call for help... Yeah. I can't delete the comments, or ban the commenters because movable type hates me-- ie it makes me log in five times just to post something, and it won't let me stay logged in long enough to do ANYTHING about these damn comments.

What Happens on Spring Break Stays on Spring Break
A shout out to my good friend M. for keeping the spirit of Spring Break alive, even when she was back at school. And a little note to Nate that he'd better not post a particular picture and he knows which one I'm talking about... And a message to K8 that she'd better come home again someday because I miss her. And and disappointed nod in Ru's direction for not having the same Spring Break as me. Mdubz, you get a slight nod as well for not appearing until Friday, make that Saturday.
So I'm back with the Lafayette Lepars. I was so amazingly stressed out last night and today, but now I'm kind of settling a bit. Which is good. Plus I only have one class tomorrow (yay for Tuesdays!) Spring Break was lovely. I saw M. three times, and there was a late night pancake insanity. I did some sleeping. I went to the dentist and I also got new contacts. AND I bought a dress for the Phi Psi formal :-D Yay April why aren't you here right now?! And I baked lots. And I visited the Saylor. And I lost a game of parchesi. And I went to the city. And I was a Muslim for about an hour--absoluted and headscarfed and everything. And I threw a kick-ass St. Patrick's Day party. And I went to church twice and sang "Be Thou My Vision" which is a pretty kick-ass song. And I did laundry. So yeah, all of that, but not in that order. What a time.
Let's have Spring Break every week!

"Laddy (or Latty?)"= Undelicious.
For me, Spring Break is here. I'm just not home yet. But I am done work, and I have a mere 50 minutes of class to face tomorrow. And the sun is out, despite the snow on the ground--which is depressing. Look winter, your time is up, move along now. Don't be the sad pathetic one in the relationship who can't get over it.
I finished my last paper yesterday, and I have celebrated so far with three batches of cookies and a St. Patrick's day party with green marshmallows. And now I have a few McK interviews to do, and then NOTHING. Except packing :-D
See some of you soon! Well. Pretty much everyone but K8. Or everyone but K8. Way to have a lame Spring Break...

Spring Has Sprung, Negativity Persists
A happy thought:
It finally seems like spring.
A sad thought:
I keep remembering bathrooms I forgot to put on my list.
A happy thought:
It's Friday!
A sad thought:
I have three papers to write this weekend. And Sunday is shot, as usual.
A happy thought:
Spring break is almost here!
A sad thought:
That means the semester is half over, and I'm going to have to really make some decisions about next year.
A happy thought:
...If I give myself an anxiety attack and die I won't have to worry about anything ever again!
