People of the Readership of This Blog: I Shall Return
Hope everyone enjoyed the random party. Another will surely follow shortly. Girls should keep their heads up about possible tea garden parties on the horizon. Boys should start getting excited about slip and slide on my birthday. Engineers should begin thinking about the best way to convert a slip and slide to be longer. (Birthday 2007-- Save these dates: July 7 and 8, probably 8 will be the party).
Going to Lafayette for the weekend, to work Reunion. So I'll be away until Sunday. Try not to miss me too much. Also pray that my driving is safe and sure. I'm sure you'll hear something on the news if I manage to kill myself.
Also! I'm going to Colorado! In July! Yay!
Missing you kids already.

Aimless
Home again. Sitting around. Knowing there's stuff I could be doing--cleaning and organizing the mess that is my room for starters...but not wanting to get into it. And yet, bored. I just feel really aimless, I have a job, but nothing to look forward to aside from August getting here. I have to know by Friday every day I want to take off of work until then. And even August coming. I don't know. Part of me wants college never to end, and part of me is feeling like its become a sort of rut. Which is why people go away their junior year I suppose. Anyway. I think I'm seeing the world through whatever the opposite of rose coloured lenses are this morning. Avoiding doing productive things, and no one is answering their phone.
Maybe I'll try to go back to cleaning.

Summer Begins
Headed home this afternoon, the room is boxed. It's always a little sad. I never feel like I took the time to appreciate what it looked like all set up. And then, it's all dismantled. Cleaning out my dorm room always reminds me of the horrible feeling I had when I was 9 and my living room was being dismantled to be put on the truck. Seeing your sofa sitting on its side is unsettling okay?
Also listening to some awesome music recommended by M. Which helps. Although some of it is sort of depressing awesome music...
"This Will Be Our Year" The Zombies
"100,000 Fireflies" The Magnetic Fields
"Everything I Try To Do, Nothing Ever Turns Out Right" The Decembrists.
But I'm not a hipster yet.
But I will be home this afternoon. See you soon!

Why Do I Always Blog on Sunday?
In my defense, my blog wasn't working for much of the last week or so, so posting would have been totally pointless.
The last week of classes was pretty dull, all about getting those last assignments done and handed in. This weekend was interesting.
Friday I finished class at 10:50. Then I did boring things like ate lunch, wandered about, etc. Then I helped set up for the McKelvy Formal, got myself looking pretty for the formal, and went to the formal. I had two marshmallows. And didn't dance very much, but spent a lot of time playing with fire and candles. Then watched drunk boys play video games for awhile. Moderately amusing, although it loses its novelty quickly.
Saturday, slept super late. Then it was All College Day. Made it to the top of the rock climbing thing, lost to Carlos in the race thing, enjoyed the moon bounce. Also went for ice cream and thought about doing slip n slide, but by that point everyone was too tired or drunk or both. Also I was really really sunburned. And the headache and slight lightheadedness that accompanied the sunburn made me kind of nervous. The evening sort of slipped away (with a trip to Giant to buy sunscreen and aloe vera), and then after Midnight Breakfast, all I wanted was sleep.
Today I shall go to church, unless this headache still refuses to leave, because Organ + headache = no way. Then I'm doing the study group thing for my Religion final. Free dinner tonight with one of my clubs. My only final is tomorrow, and then I just have one short paper to write. Two of my classes are done forever!
