Christmas and Crunkmas

I know you all can't believe that I didn't write the usual "Christmas sucks" post. But it was pretty much okay this year. I got to open 3 presents because my mother decided to wrap them all together...but I can't really complain because my main Christmas present was an LSAT prep class.
Other than a sad lack of present opening, I ate a ton of peanut brittle, and went to see National Treasure 2. It was good. Except that while in the car on the way to the movie theater I felt a little sick from the peanut brittle. And I was on a massive sugar high all day. :-D

Yesterday I worked :-( But then it was MERRY CRUNKMAS. The best holiday of all.

Winter

Our pipes are frozen.

It's haling, on top of snow. And turning into icy rain.

Stupid winter.

Even the cold water is freezing (the hot water is nonexistent) I washed my hair in the sink. I had to take breaks. And rub the feeling back into my scalp.

So. cold.

One more final.

That Time of Year

When we're all thinking in lists: Papers left to write, exams to take, things to do, Christmas presents left to buy, etc.

So I do not have much worthy of blogging. Because reading my lists would not be terribly entertaining for you. But I did realize that I never blogged about Formal.

So I'm going to try to put a picture in. But I'm also going to tell you that I have put them all on a Flicker account which you may or may not be able to find, but my user name is kajekt. Actually screw that. You just try to get flicker to work. Good luck. Or just ask me and I'll e-mail you or something. Well, maybe this will work: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kajekt/. Give it a shot.

Anyway, it was a lot of fun. I managed to tear a very important part of my dress on the way out of the car, but with the help of a safety pin it was okay. The food was yummy, the DJ was late but he played the song I wanted him to so I'll forgive him. I danced. I almost got kicked out on account of marshmallows. But I was drinking a Shirley Temple at the time, so they had no case. They did keep harassing me about the Shirley Temple though, it was pretty annoying. The only part of the evening that sucked was that the place was a rather long drive, so it was shorter and we got back kind of late. And it was freezing.

In other news I lost my favorite gap winter hat. And I am going to three Christmas parties this weekend.

:-D

Where Am I Living Next Year?

A question for you to help me consider. By ten AM Wednesday morning.

So obv. I could continue living in McKelvy, either in my gigantor single, or a smaller one.
Pluses: McKelvy is awesome, free dinner every Sunday, easy resume booster with little effort, faculty think I'm smart, get to plan like four parties, wouldn't really have to change, wouldn't have to haul my stuff all home again, not a dorm.
Negatives: High potential for me sitting in my room alone on Friday and Saturday nights doing school work and contemplating killing myself.

Also could live with two girls who I am somewhat friends with in off campus/on campus apartment.
Pluses: Built in friends, still would be in same (Phi Psi) social circle, living with people means I don't get to contemplate how long it would take them to find the body if I died...I've never lived with people my own age, I always pick awesome people who graduate and leave me alone.
Negative: I don't really know the one girl that well, I have to give up McKelvy, they both have boyfriends will I be an awkward 5th wheel, they're really good friends will I be an awkward 3rd violin, I've never done the lottery before what if we get really bad numbers and end up somewhere terrible, the "on campus apartments" are really dorms with suites and I don't know if I can handle living in a dorm again.

Your thoughts?
