Does working at a high stress level burn calories?

Just wondering.

Now off to disappear for a long while.

Anti-Musings

So I had a random philosophical discussion last night. The kind that go on for hours when you mean to be doing work, that somehow always come around to Hitler, and where philosophy majors postulate on human nature.

I think philosophers miss the point sometimes. It isn't necessarily that deep. People = people. I think most people get that without philosophy. We aren't all good, we aren't all bad. Sometimes we're selfish and confused, sometimes we rise about and act as prophets.

Anyway. It's 8:13AM and I'm attempting to write a paper about Martin Luther King and the millions of theological theories/people that influenced him. So maybe I'm just bitter about overkill analysis.

On the plus side, I'm going to NEW YORK tomorrow! To see Curtains! Yay. Now, to work!

For Kaydo

As requested (because I am avoiding work), more about my sons, who really are the Engineer's not mine. I nearly killed the older one when he called me "Mom" last year.

For some reason rather than having "Bigs" and "Littles" like most sororities or just saying brother, the Engineer's particular fraternity chooses to refer to them as Fathers and sons, which dose make for better family trees. So last year he got one, and then last Sunday we had the conversation (as previously related) when he got a second. I just had to post it because the way he put it to me was hysterically funny. :-D

Also, YAY for comments being fixed!!

Happy February 15th!

So I missed wishing you all a Happy Valentine's Day. But hopefully you'll forgive me. It was a busy day, as it was also Love Your Body Day. Which actually went really well :-D We graffitied mirrors, gave out candy, and had people cut outs on which to write your favorite body part. Boobs was the easy winner.

Today Engineer and I did the date thing. Very cute. Pizza and a movie :-) And yesterday we did flowers, cards, gifts. And I got some lovely things from all of you over the past few days, M. saved my life with CDs, Mdubz made me a gorgeous card, and Kaydo sent me the sweetest note/poem/origami. B____'s card is mysteriously absent. Perhaps she does not wish to be my Valentine! My mom sent me one though, signed by my brother also! Very odd.

My plans for this weekend include: reading, writing, rithmatic. Except, no rithmatic. Lots of work. Bleh. So how are all of you beautiful people??! (The comments should be working!)

Snow

1 day of snow
1 and 1/2 days of rain

Stir. Freeze overnight. Add more rain.

Enjoy slush. Ice. Icy rain. Falling.

Blessings

"My Darling, you know how we have prayed every day for God to Bless us with a child? Our prayers have been answered, we have have a second son."

*Blank stare*

Yes, it's true. God works in mysterious ways. My Engineer is now the proud father of two.

(Greeks life has some quirks).

Happy Ash Wednesday

In case you are wondering, I have given up chocolate and peanut butter for the Lenten season. If this seems insane to you, I should tell you that last year I tried to give up being passive aggressive. The thing I don't really do that on purpose, I just have a hard time telling people what's bothering me, but I don't hide the fact that I'm upset. So I pretty much failed. So this year I decided to give up something tangible. It will be difficult, but doable.

Also. I am sick of people asking if I am Catholic because of the ashes. Stupid people.

Other than that my life could be summarized as follows-- class, library, lunch, library, dinner, library, sleep. Today I choose Jesus over precious precious Jazzercise. It was tough.
